The fan is the most common source of noise. The most obvious frequency is 63~4000Hz in the noise spectrum. The fan noise is composed of aerodynamic noise, mechanical noise and electromagnetic noise, and the location of the noise is respectively at the inlet of the fan, outlet of the fan, fan housing, motor and pipe. London fan provides different noise control project according to different noise location.
If the inlet is not connected with the pipe, the noise control project should included: encased type silencer, Filtered type silencer, dissipative silencer with long absorbent plates, which can eliminate the spread of the noise caused by wind speed noise and friction noise by the impeller. If the inlet is connected with the pipe, the noise control project should included: dissipative silencer with absorbent plates and pipeline silencer, which can eliminate the spread of the noise caused by wind speed noise and friction noise by the impeller.

Double volute can effectively reduce and eliminate the spread of the noise because the spread of the noise is mainly caused by wind speed noise, friction noise by the impeller and noise by the air flow impulsing.
